Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 3, 2026
BrickyBrick ("we," "us," "our") makes a creative platform where brick builders upload their creations, generate animated videos, and compete in contests. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BrickyBrick, you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
- Account information. Email address, password (hashed), display name, optional avatar configuration, optional date of birth, and family role.
- Content you upload. Photos of brick builds, captions, and any text you submit (e.g. animation prompts, contest entries, profile fields).
- Generated content. Animated videos created from your uploads, along with any AI-generated names, descriptions, or moderation labels associated with them.
- Payment information. Subscription tier, plan member counts, credit balances, and limited billing metadata. Card details are handled by Stripe — we never store full card numbers on our servers.
- Activity data. Votes, likes, XP events, contest entries, and other interactions within the app.
- Technical data. IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, and basic event telemetry, used to operate, debug, and improve the service.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies for authentication, session management, and analytics.
How we use information
- To create and manage accounts, families, and subscriptions.
- To generate, store, and display the brick builds and animations you upload or create.
- To run contests, award XP, calculate leaderboards, and ship prizes to winners.
- To moderate content and keep the community safe (image moderation, username review, abuse reports).
- To send transactional emails (account confirmations, family invites, contest notifications) and, if you opt in, occasional product updates.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and bot activity.
- To analyze and improve the product.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Children's privacy
BrickyBrick is designed to be safe for kids when used as part of a family plan. Children under 13 may use BrickyBrick only through a family plan managed by a parent or legal guardian. Kids on family plans do not need their own email account — the account-holding adult sets up profiles, manages settings, submits contest entries, and is responsible for the child's use of the service.
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the service for child accounts (display name, avatar, optional date of birth, build uploads). We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided information to us without proper consent, contact us at support@brickybrick.com and we will delete it.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers that help us operate BrickyBrick, and only as needed for them to perform their service. These categories include:
- Cloud hosting and edge delivery.
- Database, authentication, and file storage.
- Payment processing for subscriptions and credits.
- Transactional email delivery.
- AI inference for video, naming, moderation, and other text generation.
- Bot protection on signup and other forms.
- Optional single sign-on providers.
- Product analytics and event telemetry.
We may also share information when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BrickyBrick, our users, or others. If BrickyBrick is acquired, user data may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to this policy.
Public content
Builds, animations, display names, contest entries, votes, and XP may be visible to other BrickyBrick users and, where applicable, to the public internet (for example, through search engines). Don't upload anything you don't want others to see.
Your choices
- Access and update. You can review and edit most of your account information from your account settings.
- Delete content. You can delete builds, animations, and family member profiles you have created.
- Cancel a subscription. You can cancel from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Delete your account. Email support@brickybrick.com from your account's email address to request account deletion. We will remove your personal data, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records).
- Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from any non-transactional email using the link in the footer of those emails.
Data retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active, plus a short period afterward to handle billing reconciliation and abuse review. Some records (such as payment receipts) may be retained longer where required by law.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls on internal systems. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed or disclosed in ways inconsistent with this policy.
International users
BrickyBrick is operated from the United States. If you use the service from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice.
